Khaberni - Arab Bank, in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, continues to implement its specialized training program aimed at enhancing the financial awareness of women with disabilities. This program is part of the bank's ongoing efforts to promote financial inclusion and develop sustainable initiatives that meet the requirements of different segments of society, which contribute to building their capacities and enhancing their financial independence, thereby supporting their economic stability and enhancing their role in development.
The program, which was implemented at the headquarters of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and included a new group of women, covered a number of key topics including proper financial planning, mechanisms for making considered financial decisions, and establishing a culture of prudent consumption, along with introducing the most important financial and digital products, services, account types, cards, and various banking solutions and ways to benefit from them. The training content also included a simplified explanation of the role of financial technology in improving banking work, the concept of cybersecurity, and ways to prevent its risks, in addition to a set of financial guidance and advice.
In the context of enhancing the practical and interactive side of the program, a workshop was conducted with the participation of a number of beneficiaries from the Jordan River Foundation's Women Empowerment Program, where handicraft products were redesigned, providing space for exchanging experiences and skills, and supporting concepts of economic empowerment and promoting productivity and creativity.
For her part, Rawan Barakat, President of the Women's Committee at the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, said: “This program represents an important step towards enabling women with disabilities to gain the financial knowledge and skills that help them manage their financial affairs confidently and independently. We thank Arab Bank for its continuous efforts in supporting such quality initiatives." She added, "We believe that enhancing financial awareness is fundamental to supporting their active participation in society and economically empowering them, in line with efforts to promote financial inclusion and provide equal opportunities for everyone."
Jordan River Foundation also appreciated the role of Arab Bank in supporting the social and economic journey of Jordanian women through its strategic cooperation with the foundation, which has supported hundreds of women within Jordan River's projects for child protection and community empowerment as well as the foundation’s social projects.
It is noted that the bank adopts an integrated approach in the field of sustainability and social responsibility, aimed at maximizing its economic and social impact through implementing programs and initiatives that cover several areas, including health, education, combating poverty, environmental protection, supporting orphans, and empowering women.
