Khaberni  - Bahrain has begun to move towards removing the effects of the hostile Iranian attacks that targeted residential areas in the country, with Manama repairing 71 homes and residential units damaged due to the war between America and Israel on one side, and Iran on the other.

Field tour results of Bahraini officials showed the continuation of repair work, with Ibrahim Al-Hawaj, the Minister of Public Works, and Amna Al-Rumaihi, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, visiting the Sitra area and the Al Hidd Housing city to follow up on the details of repairing the first batch of damaged houses, as part of directives issued by the country's leaders for the government to handle the repairs of citizens' homes.

The efforts included repairing 71 homes and residential units, distributed among 30 units in Al Hidd Housing city, 19 homes in Sitra areas, plus 22 homes in various regions, following the completion of structural and engineering treatments and the rehabilitation of essential services.

Ibrahim Al-Hawaj, the Minister of Public Works, confirmed that priority was given to the most damaged cases, with repairs carried out according to approved technical standards, ensuring that residents can return to their homes in a safe and habitable environment.

Meanwhile, Amna Al-Rumaihi, the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, explained that work has been ongoing since the occurrence of the damages, with specialized teams beginning to assess the losses and evaluate them before moving on to repairs, compensation, and preparations for the return of families to their homes.

She added that the pace of work is continuous to complete the remaining damaged houses in subsequent phases, which will accelerate the full restoration of stability to the affected families.

The treatment was not limited to walls and structures but also extended to internal contents of the houses which were assessed, and necessary actions were taken to compensate the owners, as part of a comprehensive treatment to restore the houses to their normal state.

Since the early days of the crisis, families whose homes suffered significant damages were moved to temporary accommodations equipped in Salman City, with plans to gradually return them as soon as the residential units are ready.
