Khaberni - The French ambassador and the World Bank representative, accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the head of the new Ain Al-Basha municipal committee and the executive director, reviewed the North Balqa purification station project, one of the most prominent water sector projects in the kingdom.
The project, funded with 75 million euros (60 million in loans from the French Development Agency and 15 million in grants from the European Union), aims to establish a modern station with a capacity of 54,000 cubic meters per day, replacing the old Baqaa station.
The station will serve about 622,000 people in 60 population centers in the Balqa Governorate, including Ain Al-Basha district, contributing to the improvement of the environmental reality and enhancing sewage services.
