Khaberni - Minister of Youth Raed Adwan confirmed on Monday that the youth file is a national priority and requires the cooperation of official and national institutions within a vision that targets empowering youth and enhancing their role in development and decision-making.
Al-Adwan said during a meeting at the Ministry of Youth to discuss the implementation of sessions and national consultations to prepare the axes of the National Youth Strategy for the years 2026-2030, that building the strategy is based on a participatory approach and relies on the results of the National Youth Survey 2025 conducted by the ministry to assess the reality of youth and their needs, which ensures the formulation of more effective policies and programs.
He explained that the launch of the strategy will be followed by preparing an executive plan that includes programs, projects, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, impact assessment, as well as the necessary financial planning to achieve its objectives.
He emphasized the importance of the role of partner institutions in implementing the axes of the strategy and translating its contents into practical programs that expand opportunities for youth and empower them.
He confirmed that the High Steering Committee for the National Youth Strategy includes representatives from ministries, official departments, security apparatuses, and experts in youth work, in addition to direct youth representation, which enhances youth participation in planning and decision-making. The meeting included a visual presentation by the Director of Policies and Planning at the Ministry, Jihad Al-Musaideh, which reviewed the achievement rates in the National Youth Strategy for the years 2019-2025 and the results of the National Youth Survey, the organizational structure of the committees and technical teams, the methodology for preparing the new strategy, and the time roadmap.
The committee members discussed a number of proposals and recommendations related to the development of the strategy, enhancing institutional coordination, and aligning national plans to serve youth issues in the coming stage.
