From Sniper to Victim A Herd of Elephants Ends the Life of an American Millionaire on a Hunting Trip

Khaberni - The famous American bounty hunter and millionaire, Ernie Dusio, met his death being trampled by a herd of elephants in the forests of Gabon, Central Africa, during a hunting expedition targeting a rare type of antelope.

The tragic incident occurred last Friday in the "Lope" area, where Dusio (75 years old) was accompanied by a professional hunting guide in a dense forest tracking a yellow-backed duiker, with the trip costing about 30,000 British pounds.

According to eyewitness accounts, the duo surprised a herd of 5 elephants along with their young, which prompted an immediate attack by the elephants to protect their young.

The reports indicated that the elephants, which had been hidden in dense bushes, suddenly appeared and attacked the guide first, causing him serious injuries and the loss of his rifle in the brush, leaving Dusio alone with only a basic hunting weapon inadequate to face the enraged elephants, which brutally trampled him, leading to his instant death.

Dusio was from the city of "Lodi" in California and was the owner of "Pacific AgriLands Inc," which manages vast areas of vineyards in the United States.

He is known in American circles as a veteran hunter possessing numerous awards and hundreds of mounted heads of animals he had hunted over decades, including lions, tigers, rhinoceroses, and elephants.

For its part, the safari company "Collect Africa" confirmed the incident in a brief statement, noting that the American embassy in Gabon is currently handling the arrangements for the transfer of the body back to California.
