UAE ranks first globally in entrepreneurship report

Khaberni - The United Arab Emirates ranked first globally in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report, surpassing many of the developed economies included in the study from which the report originated.

According to the UAE news agency reported on Sunday, the UAE ranked first among high-income economies in 8 indicators in the report, which included physical infrastructure, government policies in terms of support and appropriateness, government policies related to taxes and bureaucracy, government entrepreneurship programs, transfer of research and development, market dynamics ease of entry, regulatory burdens and regulations ease of entry, and entrepreneurial education, reflecting the integration and advancement of the supportive environment for entrepreneurship and the founding of entrepreneurial projects and startups.

The UAE also ranked second globally in the entrepreneurial finance indicator and the ease of access to entrepreneurial financing, confirming the strength of the financial system and its ability to support entrepreneurs, and the readiness of the country's economic environment to empower start-ups and enhance their growth and expansion opportunities.

The UAE is among only 4 countries that succeeded in achieving or exceeding the 'sufficiency' level in all conditions of the entrepreneurship framework for the index, ensuring that the entrepreneurial environment in the country remains among the best globally, supported by infrastructure, governmental policies, and digital readiness.

Emirati Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, said in a statement: "We are proud that the UAE has topped the global position in developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem and consolidating its status as the most supportive economy for entrepreneurship and the prime destination for establishing ventures and commercial activities.
