Fine of 100000 Riyals for Issuing a Visit Visa to Perform Hajj Without a Permit

Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Interior has tightened penalties for violations of Hajj regulations, stating that anyone who applies for a visit visa for someone trying to perform Hajj without a permit will be punished with a financial penalty of up to 100,000 Riyals.

The ministry clarified in a statement that these fines multiply with the number of people issued visas in the event they violate the regulations.

The Ministry of Interior urges everyone to adhere to the instructions for this year's Hajj season 1447H (2026 AD) and to cooperate with the relevant authorities to ensure the security and safety of the guests of the Merciful, warning that violating the instructions exposes the perpetrators to systematic penalties, and calls for reporting violators.

In a related context, the ministry announced last Thursday the imposition of a similar fine (up to 100,000 Riyals) on anyone who shelters visa holders who violate Hajj regulations.

The Ministry of Interior has also mandated, starting from the fourteenth of Dhu al-Qa'dah (corresponding to the first of May next), that residents wishing to enter the holy capital must obtain official permits.
