Maisoon Nashiwat as SecretaryGeneral of the Jordanian Paralympic Committee

Khaberni  - The board of the Jordanian Paralympic Committee, during its last meeting, decided to appoint Maisoon Nashiwat as the Secretary-General of the committee, in a step that reflects the board's directions towards strengthening institutional work and benefiting from sports and administrative competencies.

Nashiwat is considered one of the national competencies that combined administrative experience and a distinguished sports career, having excelled as a basketball and handball player, and represented national teams in addition to her participation with teams from the University of Jordan, giving her extensive field experience in sports work.

Nashiwat has held several leadership positions, most notably as the vice president of the Jordanian Triathlon Association and head of the technical committee, and a board member of the association, as well as vice president membership in the Karate Federation for two consecutive terms, was a member of the Women's Committee for the Asian region for the sport of triathlon, and participated in social committees within the International Players Association, in addition to her membership in the wheelchair basketball section of the Jordanian Paralympic Committee.

Her experience extended to include preparing annual plans and administrative reports and monitoring their implementation, along with organizing and managing multiple sporting events, and leading triathlon and karate teams in local and international competitions, as well as organizing volunteer teams from university students to participate in managing sports events.

Additionally, Nashiwat worked as a handball coach for several years in various schools, and contributed to the development and organization of triathlon sports for different age groups within Jordan.

On the academic level, Nashiwat holds a master's degree in Population Studies and a bachelor's degree in Public Administration.

It is expected that these diverse experiences will contribute to supporting the committee's trajectory and enhancing its presence, thus serving the development of the Jordanian Paralympic movement and elevating its achievements at various levels.
