Reports Iranian Ships Defy US Blockade and Cross the Strait of Hormuz

Khaberni - The Israeli newspaper "Maariv" reported that recent satellite images have spotted the return of more than 30 ships belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to Iranian ports, despite the American maritime blockade.

The newspaper "Maariv" reported that recent satellite images spotted the return of more than 30 Revolutionary Guard ships to Iranian ports, despite the American maritime blockade.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that it has ordered 29 ships to return to port as part of the American blockade imposed on Iran, while denying media reports about the breach of this blockade by ships, including the ships Hero 2, Heidi, and Dorina.

Military sources clarified that the tankers Hero 2 and Heidi, which fly the Iranian flag, are currently docked in the Iranian port of Chabahar after being intercepted by US forces earlier in the week, while a US Navy destroyer accompanies the tanker "Dorina" in the Indian Ocean after its previous attempt to breach the blockade, confirming that US forces are deployed around the world and manage and execute the blockade throughout the Middle East and beyond.

Images from the European "Copernicus" program and the "Vortexa" maritime intelligence agency revealed intense maritime activity in the Strait of Hormuz, including squadrons of fast attack boats belonging to the Iranian navy returning to the coast after patrols in the strait, in addition to oil tankers loaded with millions of barrels parked in waiting areas near the maritime passage, and movements of small ships in shallow areas.

Military analysts said that the timing of the return of these ships coincides with a limited Iranian escalation in recent days, involving attacks on ships in the region, before Tehran announced a temporary truce mediated by international parties.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy warned passing ships from adopting alternative routes in the strait, indicating the presence of anti-ship mines, while semi-official Iranian news agencies published maps showing the proposed safe routes.

On the diplomatic front, there are escalating indications of a new round of talks between the United States and Iran, mediated by Pakistan, where US President Donald Trump told the New York Post that new talks could be held as early as next Friday.

When asked Trump about the possibility of a breakthrough, he responded via text message: "It is possible." However, US officials emphasized that any extension of the ceasefire would be temporary.

The Strait of Hormuz holds great strategic importance, as it carries about 30 to 30 percent of the global oil supplies daily, and the strait is only 39 kilometers wide at its narrowest point, making it susceptible to military operations, and any disruption of navigation in it could lead to an immediate spike in oil prices and global economic repercussions.
