Barcelona surpassed a major obstacle on their way to winning the La Liga title, by defeating their guest Celta Vigo with a clean goal, in the match that brought them together today, Wednesday, at Camp Nou stadium.
The only goal was scored by the young star, Lamine Yamal, from a penalty kick in the 40th minute.
Barcelona increased their points to 82, extending their lead over runner-up Real Madrid to 9 points, while Celta Vigo's points remain at 44 in seventh place.
A penalty was awarded to Barcelona in the 38th minute after Lamine Yamal fell inside the penalty area, and referee Munuera Montero pointed to the penalty spot without hesitation.
Yamal successfully scored for Barcelona from the penalty spot in the 40th minute, after which he fell down injured and had to leave the field.
Yamal was the second player that Barcelona lost in this match, as Portuguese Joao Cancelo left the field in the 22nd minute with a knee injury.
In the 56th minute, a goal for Barcelona scored by Ferran Torres was disallowed due to offside.
