Khaberni - Barcelona received a strong blow during their match against Celta Vigo in week 32 of La Liga, after their young star Lamin Yamal suffered a worrying injury that might end his season early and jeopardize his participation in the World Cup.
The match started tensely, with Joao Cancelo leaving the field early after 20 minutes due to injury, before the situation worsened in the 40th minute, when Lamin Yamal suffered a muscle injury after scoring the leading goal for Barcelona from a penalty he had himself earned.
Immediately after executing the penalty, the player felt pain in his right hamstring, signaling immediately for a substitution, which raised concerns among the team's technical and medical staff.
The team doctor, Ricard Pruna, entered the field to examine the player, but a decision was made not to risk further injury, and Yamal left the match to be replaced by the Swede Rony Bardge.
According to Mundo Deportivo, preliminary examinations indicate a possible tear in Lamin Yamal's hamstring, which could mean his absence for at least 5 weeks, effectively ending his season with Barca.
The reports suggest that if the tear is more severe, there will be doubts about the player's readiness for the World Cup.
It was added that the player is expected to undergo more precise medical examinations in the coming hours to determine the severity of the injury and the final duration of his absence.
