College of Engineering at Arab Amman Meets with Its New Existing and Graduate Students

Khaberni - In line with the Arab Amman University's commitment to embedding the principle of direct communication between the academic administration and the students, under the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al Wadiyan, President of the Arab Amman University, the College of Engineering organized an extensive orientation meeting. This gathering brought together Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College, heads of academic departments, and members of the teaching and administrative bodies with the students and graduates of the college.

Dr. Al-Assaf began the meeting by welcoming the students and graduates, emphasizing the importance of such meetings in supporting the academic journey of students and introducing them to the college environment and its programs. During his speech, he discussed the College of Engineering and its academic programs, clarified the mechanisms for course registration, and explained the combined course system and e-learning methods. He stressed the necessity of attending lectures in person and regularly following online education. Dr. Al-Assaf provided a detailed explanation of the learning outcomes of the courses, highlighting that they focus on three main pillars: knowledge, abilities, and skills. He urged the students to pay attention to these as they are fundamental for achieving outstanding academic performance. The meeting also discussed the importance of practical and field training in refining the students' skills and reviewed the academic and career paths of the engineering specialties to meet labor market demands. Additionally, the session introduced extracurricular activities and events carried out by the college, such as the Jordanian project on air safety and related free courses. Dr. Al-Assaf advised students expected to graduate soon on the necessity of early preparation for the university competency exam, emphasizing the importance of serious follow-up in preparation to ensure the best outcomes. The meeting also allowed students to voice their queries and notes, assuring the college's commitment to providing a supportive university environment based on positive dialogue and constructive interaction.

This meeting is part of a series of orientation meetings that the College of Engineering at Arab Amman University has been keen to organize, aiming to enhance students' integration into university life, foster a sense of belonging, and raise awareness about their academic and career paths, thus preparing them to enter the labor market efficiently and distinctively.
