Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality recently decided to refer 35 employees, including directors and department heads, to the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate the rewards file related to electronic archiving employees, against the backdrop of suspected violations in the disbursement mechanism.
According to informed sources, a memo from the Integrity Commission to the municipality was received regarding the mechanism for the disbursement of monthly rewards for electronic archiving employees, prompting an official investigation into the file.
The sources explained that there were suspicions of corruption related to the disbursement process for some employees, in addition to violations of the financial instructions and disbursement decisions in place.
The sources also noted that the municipality had allocated about two years ago a sum of 40,000 dinars per month as rewards for electronic archiving employees in various regions and directorates, at a rate of 50 dinars per employee per month.
However, the sources indicated that there was a discrepancy in the distribution of these rewards among employees, raising concerns about non-compliance with financial rules and regulations.
