Khaberni - The "Associated Press" reported that US Vice President J.D. Vance has canceled his trip to Pakistan, where he was expected to participate in negotiations with Iran.
The agency explained, citing an official in the US administration, that US Vice President J.D. Vance canceled his trip to Pakistan, where he was expected to lead the US delegation once again in negotiations with Iran.
It added that "Iran has not yet made a final decision on participating in the negotiations."
The uncertainty continues regarding the second round of US-Iranian talks in Islamabad, with the ceasefire ending in the early hours of Wednesday, amidst increasing complications associated with the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
"CNN" reported, citing informed officials, that the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has contributed to the increased uncertainty about the resumption of negotiations, detailing that Tehran has linked its participation to the lifting of the US blockade on Iranian ports, which is one of the main reasons for the current impasse.
Furthermore, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, said that his country has not yet made a final decision regarding participation, criticizing American actions against Iranian ships.
