Foods that stimulate subcutaneous tissue inflammation and their useful alternatives

Khaberni - Dr. Evgenia Melnikova, a gastroenterology specialist, has identified foods that should be avoided to fight subcutaneous fatty tissue inflammation and excess weight, and what they can be replaced with.

According to her, diet is one of the most important factors influencing the development of cellulite, or what is known as "orange peel skin", where it becomes necessary to avoid a group of foods to reduce its appearance.

These foods include:

1- Rapid carbohydrates: such as chocolate, sweets, honey, jam, biscuits, caramel, ice cream, and sweetened carbonated drinks, as they lead to the stimulation of insulin secretion and an increase in fat storage in the body.
Instead, it is advisable to consume slow-absorbing carbohydrates such as vegetables, nuts, legumes, and whole grains, as they gradually raise blood sugar levels and help to feel fuller for longer, and are an important source of fibers, vitamins, and minerals.

2- Harmful fats: Including trans fats found in mayonnaise, vegetable ghee, and some processed meat products, as excessive consumption of these can lead to cardiovascular diseases and the formation of gallstones.
Therefore, it is recommended to focus on healthy fats, such as omega-3 fatty acids found in flaxseed oil, chia seeds, sesame seeds, and walnuts.

3- Alcohol: as it is one of the factors that increase appetite by stimulating the AgRP protein, and at the same time slows down the metabolism, leading to slower calorie burning and increased fat accumulation, thus increasing weight.
