Khaberni - Preliminary data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan points to a decrease in tourism income during March 2026 by 5.4% to reach $410.0 million.
This decrease is mainly due to the drop in tourism income from all nationalities by 20.3%, except for the Arab nationalities which recorded an increase of 12.1%.
Comparing the tourism income in March 2026 with February of the same year, the data shows a decline by 23.2%.
In light of this, the tourism income during the first quarter of 2026 decreased by 3.8% to reach $1.65 billion, compared to an increase of 8.9% reaching $1.72 billion during the same quarter of 2025.
The data shows an increase in tourism income during the first quarter of 2026 from European nationalities by 20.1%, Asian (4.7%), and American (1.2%), while showing a decrease in tourism income from expatriate Jordanians by (10.1%), Arabs (2.2%), and other nationalities (24.0%).
