Khaberni - Preliminary data from the Central Bank of Jordan indicates an increase in total incoming worker remittances to the kingdom by 12.7% during the first two months of 2026, amounting to $740.1 million.
Meanwhile, outbound remittances from the kingdom have increased by 11.9% to reach $307.5 million.
The data shows that remittances incoming from the United Arab Emirates ranked first among total remittances to the kingdom, accounting for 22.7%, followed by Saudi Arabia (19.0%), then the United States of America (18.3%), followed by Qatar (9.0%).
As for outbound remittances, Egypt represents the main destination of outbound remittances from the kingdom, accounting for 39.0%, followed by Bangladesh (12.6%), then the Philippines (4.8%).
