Khaberni - Apple revealed at the WWDC26 conference the new design for its voice assistant Siri within iOS 27, featuring a modern visual interface and a set of new functions. The new Siri design includes visual elements that mirror the glow effect used in the conference poster, making it more visible especially when using an iPhone in night mode.
The new Siri design includes an interface within the "Dynamic Island", an oval-shaped element at the top of the screen. When Siri is activated, the island expands to display the phrase "Search or Ask", with an illuminated indicator, and the text search bar in the standalone Siri app appears with the same visual design.
The new Siri in iOS 27 will offer a user experience more compatible with other modern chatbots that operate using artificial intelligence. Users will be able to have continuous conversations, make multiple requests in a single sentence, as well as achieve integration between personal context and screen awareness. Siri's intelligence will rely on new foundational models using Google's Gemini technology.
There will also be a separate "Siri" app where users can find their previous conversations, and it is also expected that there will be a uniform search interface between Siri and Spotlight.
The new Siri is expected to be the main feature in iOS 27, which Apple will showcase at its annual developer conference, WWDC, on June 8, 2026.
