Pakistani Prime Minister I had a constructive conversation with Bazshkian about regional developments

Khaberni - Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Sunday that he talked to Iranian President Masoud Bazshkian about regional developments, at the same time U.S. President Donald Trump stated that U.S. representatives will head to Islamabad on Monday evening to conduct negotiations between the United States and Iran.

Sharif added in a post on the X platform that he updated Bazshkian during the call on the content of his recent discussions with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey.

Sharif said, "I expressed my appreciation for Iran's engagement, including sending a high-level delegation to Islamabad for historic talks, as well as the discussions that took place with Army Chief Asim Munir in Tehran."

Sharif informed Bazshkian that Pakistan remains committed to its role in supporting peace and enhancing stability in the region.

The official Iranian news agency "IRNA" stated that Iran refuses to participate in the second round of talks with the United States, adding that there is no clear prospect for fruitful negotiations.

The agency continued that "the news published by the United States is just a media game" to pressure Iran.

The Iranian agency Tasnim stated that Iran has not yet decided to send a negotiation team, and no negotiations will be conducted as long as the maritime blockade continues.
