Khaberni - The Egyptian security forces arrested a teacher accused of harassment, after a shocking story was published by one of the victims on the "Facebook" platform, revealing sexual crimes that continued for 12 years against his students.
The security authorities monitored the post, examined the incident, which enabled them to identify the publishers and question them about the details of the crimes, then arrested the accused teacher.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement on its "Facebook" page last Friday that its departments examined "a post circulating on social media that included the publisher's suffering from a teacher who harassed her in her childhood and continued to harass girls during school lessons in Dakahlia Governorate".
It added: "There were no reports in this regard, and it was possible to identify the publisher (residing in the jurisdiction of the Dekernes police station), and upon questioning her and one of her friends, they confirmed their harm from a teacher who harassed them and several other female students during their childhood more than 12 years ago while they were receiving their lessons."
The ministry published a picture of the arrested teacher, confirming that legal proceedings had been taken in the incident.
