Khaberni - A Khamsini low is approaching the Kingdom, God willing, on Friday, April 17, 2026, especially in the afternoon and evening hours.
At the beginning of the day, the weather is expected to be mostly sunny and generally stable, with eastern winds blowing and temperatures rising further, making the weather generally hot with highs around 30 degrees Celsius in many Jordanian cities.
As the Khamsini low approaches, clouds will increase over various areas of the Kingdom during the afternoon and evening hours, and gradually, there will be chances of scattered and sporadic thunderstorms, including the Dead Sea area and parts of the north, central, east, and some southern areas of the Kingdom.
The rain may sometimes be heavy - God willing - in some areas, and may lead to the flow of valleys and the formation of floods.
Dust levels in the atmosphere will rise in various areas, especially the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom, causing a decrease in horizontal visibility.
Despite the calm expected on the sea condition in the Gulf of Aqaba during the morning hours, it is expected that the sea will become rough during the afternoon and evening hours, with wave heights expected to range from 60 cm to 1 meter.
