Khaberni - Scientists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Russian Academy of Sciences predict that a newly formed coronal hole on the sun will lead to effects on Earth, which include disturbances in the magnetic field.
A statement from the Academy explained that magnetic storms are likely to occur on the 18th and 19th of April, which may be accompanied by the appearance of auroras in some regions of the world.
Magnetic storms are a result of increased solar activity and can cause disruptions in power, communications, and navigation systems, as well as affecting the migration paths of birds and animals.
The severity of these storms is classified into five levels from G1 (weak) to G5 (very strong) according to the magnitude of disturbances in Earth's magnetic field.
