Legal Suit Against Messi and the Argentine Federation for Fraud

Khaberni -  Media reports revealed that Lionel Messi and his country's football federation, the Argentine Federation, received a legal blow in the United States, following a lawsuit filed against them for charges of fraud and breach of contractual terms, based on friendly matches of his national team.

PaseClave's account on X stated that the American company "VID", specialized in organizing sports events, filed a lawsuit in a court in Florida, confirming that it paid about 7 million dollars to obtain the exclusive rights to organize two friendly matches for the Argentine national team against Venezuela and Puerto Rico.

The complaint is based on a contractual clause that stipulates Lionel Messi's participation for at least 30 minutes in each match, unless he is injured. However, the company asserts that the Argentine star did not adhere to this, as he did not participate according to the agreed terms, which was considered a clear breach of the agreement.

The company also mentioned that it incurred additional financial losses due to organizational changes that affected the expected returns, alongside allegations of failure to fulfill subsequent promises to compensate those losses through future events.

The company, through this lawsuit, seeks to recover its financial losses, at a time when no official comment has been issued yet by the Argentine Federation or the player's representatives regarding these accusations.
