Fortunes Kicks Eliminate Al Hilal and Lead Al Sadd to the Elite Quarterfinals

Khaberni  - In a highly enthusiastic atmosphere, the Saudi city of Jeddah embraced an exciting football summit on Monday evening, bringing together Al Hilal and its brother Al Sadd within the Round of 16 matches of the Asian Champions League for the elite season 2025-2026, in a match that was intensely competitive from its first moments to the final whistle.

Al Sadd succeeded in advancing to the quarterfinals after prevailing over Al Hilal in penalty kicks (4-2), as the normal and extra time ended in a draw (3-3).

Al Hilal's trio were scored by Serbian Sergej Milinković-Savić (29th minute), Salem Al-Dawsari (55th minute), and Marcos Leonardo (67th minute), while Al Sadd's trio were scored by Rafa Molleja (36th minute), alongside Brazilians Claudinho and Roberto Firmino (58th and 70th minutes).

Al Sadd has set a fiery date with Vissel Kobe of Japan, next Saturday evening, as part of the quarterfinal round of the competition.
