The Tax Authority calls for submitting 2025 declarations before the end of April and threatens fines for violators

Khaberni - Dr. Hossam Abu Ali, the General Director of the Income and Sales Tax Department, expressed his gratitude to those who have submitted their income tax declarations for the year 2025 and electronically settled their financial obligations without delay.
He urged those who have not yet submitted their tax declarations for the year 2025 to do so and settle the declared tax before April 30, which is the final legal deadline, in order to avoid the fines stipulated by law.
The department emphasized the importance of filling out the declarations with accurate information that reflects the actual income of taxpayers, pointing out that non-compliance will result in fines including an additional tax ranging between 100 to 500 dinars, alongside a penalty of 0.4% of the due tax for each week of delay or part thereof.
It clarified that employees and workers are required to submit a declaration if their annual income exceeds 9,000 dinars for non-providers and 18,000 dinars for providers, emphasizing that the monthly deduction from salaries and wages does not exempt them from filing the annual declaration when exceeding the exemption limit.
It also invited retirees whose monthly pension exceeds 2500 dinars to submit their tax declarations for the same year.
The department urged taxpayers not to delay or wait until the last days of the legal deadline to submit the declaration, encouraging the use of available electronic services to easily and conveniently submit declarations.
It mentioned the possibility of contacting the Taxpayer Service Center via phone or WhatsApp at 062222130 or through social media pages, to obtain support and answer inquiries as quickly as possible.
