Qatar Announces Resumption of Maritime Navigation Activities

Khaberni  - The Ministry of Transportation in Qatar announced the full resumption of maritime navigation activities starting from today, Sunday, from 6 AM to 6 PM, after a period of partial cessation or operational restrictions.

The decision comes against the backdrop of improved conditions that recently affected maritime transport, allowing for the normal resumption of port operations and associated logistical services.

The ministry indicated in a statement that maritime vessels and ships licensed for fishing activity are allowed to sail around the clock.

Justice and Transparency

The Ministry of Transportation, in a notice the day before yesterday, called on all those licensed to conduct maritime activities to adhere to the principles of justice and transparency in service delivery.

The ministry emphasized the importance of not exploiting exceptional circumstances to impose any unjustified increases for the services provided, insisting on compliance with the existing maritime legislation and consumer protection laws in force in the state, and avoiding any practices that could violate regulations or expose perpetrators to legal accountability.

The transport and shipping sector anticipates a gradual return to normal activity levels, with continued monitoring of developments to ensure the stability of maritime operations in the coming period.
