Ceasefire between Washington and Tehran Continues Until April 21

Khaberni -  Pakistani media, quoting two sources, reported that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran will continue until April 21.

Pakistani sources familiar with the matter confirmed that major issues have prevented progress in the negotiations, notably the files on Lebanon and the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced that the talks had not led to an agreement, noting his departure from Islamabad after presenting "the final and best offer" to the Iranians.

The sources mentioned that the American side refused to include Lebanon in any potential deal, sought to separate its file from Iran and hand it over to Israel, while the file on the Strait of Hormuz posed an additional complication, with attempts to delay it and open the strait without an Iranian role.

They added that Washington also requested discussions on Iran’s missile program, which did not take place, whilst indicating that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Army Chief Asim Munir accompanied Vance to the airport, in an attempt to convince him to continue the dialogue.
