Acceptance of Ramadan Sobhis Appeal in the Doping Case

Khaberni -  Egyptian press reports stated that the Swiss Federal Court has accepted the form of appeal in the doping case involving Pyramids FC star, Ramadan Sobhi.

Ramadan Sobhi's lawyer, Hani Zahran, in exclusive statements to "Yalla Koura" said: "Thank God, the appeal was accepted formally in Ramadan Sobhi's doping case, and the International Anti-Doping Agency and the International Court of Arbitration for Sport have been given a deadline until May 4, 2026, to respond to the appeal submitted by Ramadan."

Zahran referred in his statements to the federal court: "The Swiss Federal Court does not look into the merits of the case, it only looks into the validity of the procedures and the rights of the parties involved in litigation."

The Sports Court had issued a decision to suspend Ramadan Sobhi for four years due to the doping case he was involved in recently.

This comes after the International Anti-Doping Agency decided to appeal the decision of the Egyptian organization and requested the suspension of Ramadan Sobhi for four years, on September 17, 2024.

In the coming months, decisive decisions are expected in the case, and Ramadan Sobhi hopes that the suspension will be lifted so he can participate normally with Pyramids in various competitions.
