Khaberni - Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, believes that the team currently needs to win every match to have a chance to surpass Arsenal and win the league title.
Manchester City will continue its pursuit of Arsenal at the top of the table when it faces Chelsea on Sunday, after a nearly month-long break due to the international break and cup matches.
Even if City wins and gains all the available points in the remaining eight matches, which include facing Arsenal next week, Manchester City will need Arsenal to slip up, as the team is currently nine points behind with a game in hand.
For this reason, Guardiola feels there is no room for mistakes.
Guardiola said: "Given the situation we are in in the Premier League, we need to win all the matches, or we will not have any chance to fight until the end."
He added: "We need to collect a lot of points. Throughout the season, we have wasted points that we should have secured. That's why we are now in a situation where we cannot change the circumstance."
Manchester City visits Stamford Bridge with high morale after winning the English Football League Cup, following their victory in the final against Arsenal, and defeating Liverpool 4-0 in the FA Cup.
Arsenal will later today play against Bournemouth, a day before Manchester United's match, but Guardiola emphasized that it will not change much of Manchester City's approach to its game.
He said: "We must win our matches, whether we play after them or before them. Now there are only a few matches left in the league, so we must win every game."
Manchester City currently has a strong momentum, and their optimism will be further boosted by their strong record in April, having won 28 of their last 31 games played in this month.
However, Guardiola does not give much importance to these statistics.
He said: "I have received many yellow cards, which reflect my enthusiasm. It's not just in April, but throughout the season I have had good energy, and I still possess this energy."
