Khaberni - Media reports have indicated that British boxer Tyson Fury has moved to a new stage in his personal and professional life, after deciding to relocate to the Isle of Man, where he has settled with his family in a luxurious country mansion valued at about five million pounds, a move that carries both financial and sporting implications.
The British Daily Mail explained that the historic mansion, which spans nine acres and was built over 200 years ago, is situated on a hill overlooking the countryside near the town of Peel, and features comprehensive facilities including multiple reception halls, six bedrooms, a cinema lounge, a gym, as well as recreational facilities and horse stables.
It pointed out: "This relocation reflects a different lifestyle for the Fury family, who have already started to adapt to the calm atmosphere of the island."
It continued: "This decision comes amid a more flexible tax regime compared to the United Kingdom, where the island offers a low tax cap on income, in addition to the absence of capital gains and inheritance taxes. Estimates suggest that Tyson Fury, whose fortune is valued in the hundreds of millions, could save substantial amounts annually due to this move, especially with his high income from fights, sponsorship deals, and business ventures."
It added: "Fury is currently preparing for a new bout against Arslanbek Makhmudov, a confrontation scheduled at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he is expected to earn significant financial returns from this fight, enhancing his status as one of the top boxing stars in the world."
It remarked further: "Despite the financial gains, the decision to move was not without other motives, as the family previously faced security issues at their former residence, pushing them to seek more privacy and tranquility. The island’s peaceful nature has provided a suitable environment for the family, which has started to appear frequently in local daily activities, away from the limelight."
It concluded: "This shift reflects an increasing trend among some global athletes to seek more suitable financial and legal environments, amid the rising tax burdens in some countries, opening the door to a broader discussion about the relationship between sports and the economy in the professional world."
