The Iranian delegation presents red lines in Islamabad talks amid ongoing regional tension

Khaberni - The Iranian delegation, led by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, affirmed during their meeting with the Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad Tehran's adherence to certain elements of its previous plan and considered them "red lines".

The delegation stated that these provisions are non-negotiable in the context of the ongoing talks with the United States.

This position comes at a time when Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon continue, despite Iran's condition of halting operations there as a fundamental entry point for continuing the negotiations, reflecting the complexity of the regional scene and its direct impact on the course of the talks.

According to Pakistani sources, Sharif met separately with the Iranian and American delegations, with the American delegation led by Vice President Jed D. Vance, as part of mediation led by Pakistan to de-escalate.

It is scheduled that a round of formal talks between the two sides will commence soon, amidst cautious hopes for the possibility of progress, despite the fragility of the ceasefire and ongoing tensions in the region.
