Senior Scholar in Saudi Arabia Approves Cosmetic Injections for Women

Khaberni - A member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Yusuf bin Mohammed bin Said, clarified the ruling on using cosmetic injections on a woman’s face, stipulating their permissibility provided they are free from religious prohibitions and medical harm.

While featured on the program «Fatawa» on the Saudi channel, he stated that there is no harm in using cosmetic injections unless they amount to prohibited tattooing, and do not entail any health harm, according to specialized doctors.

He added: «Cosmetic injections that do not result in tattooing such that these injections tattoo the woman's face, and are not harmful to the woman according to doctors' statements; then there is no objection to them, as they are a means of beautification».

He noted that the criterion in this matter is the absence of religious prohibitions or medical harm, affirming that the basic principle in this type of beautification is permissibility once those conditions are met.
