Exclusion of the Final Morocco and Senegal Match from World Cup Participation

Khaberni - The International Football Federation "FIFA" has excluded Congolese Jean Jacques Ndala, referee of the exciting match between Morocco and Senegal in the 2025 African Nations Cup final, from the list of participants in the 2026 World Cup hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico in mid-June next year.

The list chosen by FIFA on Thursday includes Egyptian Amin Omar, Gabonese Pierre Atcho, Moroccan Jalal Jaid, Mauritanian Dahan Beidah, South African Tom Abongile, and for the first time, Somali Omar Artan.

Ndala was at the center of the turbulent events that occurred in the final match of the African Nations Cup after he awarded a late penalty in favor of Morocco, causing the Senegal players to leave the field before returning and winning 1-0 in extra time, before the continental federation revoked the trophy from them and awarded it to "Atlas Lions" in a disciplinary decision.
