Khaberni - The Jordan Football Association, chaired by Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, held this evening, Thursday, April 9, the extraordinary general meeting for the year 2026, which was held via video communication technology.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prince expressed his pride in the efforts of the clubs in supporting and developing Jordanian football, confirming that they represent the main pillar in the journey of the Nashama team, which is preparing for a historic participation in the 2026 World Cup.
He also congratulated the Jordanian refereeing crew, which includes referees Adham Makhadmeh, Ahmed Al-Ruwaili, and Mohammad Al-Bakkar, for being selected to officiate in the World Cup matches.
The Prince emphasized that this stage requires the highest levels of responsibility and joint work, stressing the importance of continuing to support the national team to enhance its preparedness and meet the aspirations of the Jordanian fans.
The Prince graciously granted an exemption to the clubs from all the financial fines due during the current season and to date, in appreciation of their contribution to supporting the national team and celebrating its participation in the World Cup.
During the meeting, the membership requests of the "independents" category were approved, and the formation of the general body of the federation was endorsed.
During the meeting, the election committee and the appeals committee were elected, and the backup members for both committees were determined, in preparation for holding the regular general assembly meeting.
The general body was informed of the decision of the board of directors of the federation to postpone the regular general assembly meeting, which was scheduled for May 11, including the elections of the new council, until the conclusion of the national team's participation in the 2026 World Cup.
