A New Mystery on Mars A Triangular Pyramid Baffles Scientists

Khaberni - A video clip from NASA has reignited one of the most exciting theories about the Red Planet, after the detection of what is said to be a "triangular pyramid" resembling the Egyptian pyramids, sparking new questions about the possibility of an ancient civilization on Mars.

The discovery of a mysterious pyramid-like formation on the surface of Mars has generated widespread debate, with theories suggesting the possibility of a human-like civilization once inhabiting the Red Planet.

In recent days, a video widely circulated on the internet has shown the Martian surface, where some believe it reveals a triangular pyramid.

The detection of this formation dates back to 2001, when researcher Keith Laney first noticed it while analyzing images taken by NASA's Mars Global Surveyor, looking for unusual formations.

Laney said at the time: "If this shape were found anywhere on Earth, we would start digging immediately." Recently, documentary filmmaker Brian Dobs republished the footage, claiming that "on the surface of Mars there is a triangular pyramid the size of the Great Pyramid in Egypt."

No evidence of ancient life

Although he acknowledged that this discovery does not constitute conclusive evidence of ancient life, it raises serious questions about the possibility of other beings having inhabited the planet in the past.

This "pyramid" is located in the western part of the "Candor Chasma" area, one of the largest canyons within the "Valles Marineris" system, the second-largest canyon system in the solar system.

This area is known for its steep slopes, landslides, and layered rock formations, which scientists confirm can naturally form striking geometric shapes.

5 different images revealed the formation

The formation appeared in five different images taken by the "Mars Global Surveyor" and "Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter" missions between 2001 and 2016. The first image, taken in July 2001, showed one side of the formation illuminated while the other two sides were in shadow, highlighting its triangular shape.

Subsequent images, taken under different lighting conditions, showed the same shape. In more recent high-resolution images taken in 2007, additional details emerged, including sharper edges and clear symmetry between the faces.

Images taken in 2014 and 2016 continued to show the same triangular shape, with variations in the shadows due to changes in the angle of sunlight, enhancing its geometric appearance.

Researchers have noted that the formation maintained clear triangular symmetry in all images, despite differences in image quality, shooting angles, and seasonal conditions.

Dobs is among several researchers who have raised questions about the possibility of industrial structures or even traces of alien beings on the Martian surface.

In this context, researcher George Haas said, "Distinguishing between a rock and a sculpted geometrical form does not need a geologist." In a study he co-authored, Haas noted that "the structural shape of this triangular pyramid shows a degree of engineering and symmetry that supports the possibility of it being of artificial origin."

For his part, Laney went further, considering the formation "almost certainly artificial." At the end of 2025, renewed attention was given to old documents from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), which spoke of mysterious experiments aimed at exploring Mars.

According to these documents, the experiments included a project named "Stargate," where one of the participants' consciousness was transferred through what is known as "astral projection," who later described seeing a pyramid and a path indicating the presence of an ancient civilization. One of the participants in the experiment said, "It seemed as if I were seeing a pyramid or pyramidal shape from a tilted angle."

Former U.S. intelligence agent Joe McMoneagle also pointed out that these experiments detected pyramids similar to those on the Martian surface, some larger than the Egyptian pyramids, and containing "massive chambers."

Despite all these claims, scientists confirm that determining the nature of these formations will only be possible through direct exploration of the Martian surface, as speculation about their origin continues, ranging from natural phenomena to explanations beyond the limits of science.
