Khaberni - Today's session of the House of Representatives saw a striking intervention by MP Dr. Hussein Al-Amoush, regarding the state of public and private education in the kingdom.
During the session, Al-Amoush directed a direct question to the Minister of Education saying: “Do your grandchildren study in public schools?”, referring to what he described as the gap in educational services between private education and the public education system.
Al-Amoush added that he is certain that the children and grandchildren of ministers do not study in public schools, considering this reflects the presence of real weaknesses and challenges in this sector, which require serious consideration and addressing.
In the context of his talk, he pointed out that the school environment still suffers from signs of division among students, where they are categorized and encouraged based on football affiliations such as “Faisaly,” “Wehdat,” “Madrid,” and “Barcelona,” which he considered as evidence of the lack of real impact of educational policies.
Al-Amoush confirmed that the continuation of these phenomena indicates that the educational policy is failing and remains “ink on paper,” calling for a reconsideration of the mechanisms for its application in a way that contributes to enhancing values of belonging and awareness within schools.
