New York Times Peace Council Officially Grants Hamas a Deadline to Fully Disarm

Khaberni - The "New York Times" published a report on Monday, revealing that the "International Peace Council," chaired by Donald Trump, issued a formal and decisive ultimatum to Hamas, setting a strict timeline for its complete disarmament and the dismantling of its military infrastructure, including the tunnel network.

This move comes as a fundamental condition for moving forward with the comprehensive reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip, as part of the second phase of the "Past October Agreement."

The proposed plan includes a timeline starting with the handover of heavy weapons and missiles and maps of military sites within ninety days, followed by a phase for collecting light weapons through an international financial compensation program.

According to sources at the newspaper, the initiative aims to enable a new technocratic Palestinian administration to take over the affairs of the sector, linking the complete Israeli withdrawal from urban centers to the actual commitment to disarmament under direct international supervision.

On the ground, the report revealed intense regional pressures to push the movement to accept the initiative, to avoid a new round of comprehensive military operations, especially in light of Washington's threats of using decisive military options.

The newspaper also mentioned the beginning of arrangements to form an "International Stability Force" led by American military personnel, to ensure the prevention of any return of armed activity, placing the sector at a historic juncture that will define its future governance and security.
