Khaberni - US President Donald Trump, on Monday, said that the United States had sent 200 people to participate in the rescue of an American aircraft crew inside Iran, speaking of the presence of great talent in rescue missions.
During a press conference, Trump added: "We can completely eliminate Iran by tomorrow night."
Trump stated that the US military does not leave any of its members behind.
He pointed out that the mission to search for and rescue the two American soldiers in Iran is one of the most complex and dangerous operations.
"We have several planes that were in enemy skies, some at low altitudes with guns aimed at them," according to Trump
Trump had previously announced in a post on the (Truth Social) platform, that he would hold a press conference accompanied by military leaders, following the United States' implementation of a military operation he described as "bold" to rescue a crew member of an F-15 fighter plane inside Iranian territory.
Trump said that the US forces managed to rescue "one of the injured crew members, who exhibited great bravery," indicating that the operation was carried out in mountainous areas within Iran, under pursuit by Iranian forces.
He added that the operation is considered one of the rare missions due to the significant risks involved for "personnel and equipment," highlighting that two rescue operations were conducted, one of which occurred "in broad daylight" and lasted about seven hours within Iranian airspace.
Trump described the operation as "an amazing display of courage and skill," praising the performance of the US forces.
This conference comes in the context of a rapidly escalating military confrontation between the United States and Iran, amidst mutual threats and intense diplomatic efforts to try to contain the crisis.
It also comes at a time when the United States, Iran, and a group of regional mediators are discussing the terms of a potential 45-day ceasefire that could pave the way for a permanent end to the war, according to four American, Israeli, and regional sources familiar with the talks on the Axios website.
