Khaberni - Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said that the death penalty law for Palestinian prisoners applies to about 80% of them.
He stated in remarks today, Monday, that any person in the West Bank who carries out killings should be mandatorily sentenced to death.
Ben Gvir added that the law included what he described as "elite elements", affirming that all pretexts associated with it have been removed and addressed.
Ben Gvir continued: The head of the Shin Bet informed me that this law would enhance deterrence power.
