The Highest Since 1967 Seven Attempts to Bring Sacrifices to AlAqsa Mosque

Khaberni - The Governorate of Jerusalem stated that the "Jewish Passover" this year witnessed 7 documented attempts to bring "animal sacrifices" into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the highest number recorded since 1967.

The governorate, in a brief statement on Sunday evening, mentioned that settlers managed to reach the Old City in occupied Jerusalem with the sacrifice in two attempts.

The Governorate of Jerusalem had earlier warned of attempts by a group of settlers to bring animal sacrifices into the Old City of Jerusalem, in an escalatory step aimed at imposing new settlement religious rituals during the "Passover", amidst the ongoing Israeli occupation’s closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The governorate confirmed that these attempts represent the peak of using religious rituals as a settler tool to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque, aiming to establish Al-Aqsa Mosque as a place for the alleged temple by presenting a lamb or kid and slaughtering it inside, which constitutes a spiritual prelude to the physical foundation of the temple over the entire area of the mosque in the Torahic concept.

It explained that "Temple" organizations exploit the historical closure of Al-Aqsa to launch intensive propaganda campaigns on their official websites, using images and clips created with artificial intelligence, to mobilize their extremist audience and enforce the sacrifice ritual by force.

The Governorate of Jerusalem called for urgent action on both the local and international levels, to stop attempts to impose animal sacrifices and the Judaization realities in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to ensure the protection of holy places from any attempts to undermine their Islamic identity and status, and to end the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation authorities continue the closure of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Resurrection for the 37th consecutive day, under the pretext of "emergency" and security conditions.

The occupation authorities exploit this pretext to enhance their control over Al-Aqsa Mosque, at a time when local and Jerusalemite calls are escalating to gather at the closest points and military barriers surrounding it, in an attempt to break the siege imposed on it, and to force its reopening.

For the ninth time since 1967, the occupation closed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday, as its squares, mosques, and corridors were void of worshippers, except for a few members of the Islamic Waqf Department staff, while the day before last, Friday, marked the fifth consecutive closure.
