Amman, April 5 (Petra)- Today, Sunday, under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, the Council of Ministers decided to compensate citizens whose homes, businesses, or vehicles were damaged due to debris and drones due to the current regional events, following the assessment by technical committees formed by the Minister of Interior in the provinces for this purpose.
The decision aims to compensate the affected citizens, enable them to undertake necessary maintenance for their homes, repair their vehicles, and sustain their businesses.
In terms of energy supply security and enhancing the strategic stockpile amid the current regional crisis, the Council of Ministers decided to exempt the imports of Jordanian Refinery Company's fuel oil sold to the National Electricity Company from all taxes and fees.
The decision aims to enable the company to enhance the strategic stockpile and alleviate the burdens associated with global price fluctuations due to the current regional events.
The Council of Ministers also decided to exempt the contract of the Floating Storage Unit (FSU), leased by the National Electricity Company and expected to arrive during the last quarter of this year, from all taxes, fees, and dues, throughout its docking period at Sheikh Sabah's port for liquefied natural gas in Aqaba.
