Khaberni - The Amman Secretariat said on Saturday that the Amman Vision Recycling and Processing Company is fully owned by the Secretariat, and functions as the strategic arm for developing the solid waste management system. It has attracted 30 local and foreign companies and issued an international tender for managing and processing waste in the Amman Secretariat, which was awarded to three specialized companies in this field.
The Secretariat added, in a statement, that the company was established in 2022 as a private shareholding company, aiming to achieve comprehensive management of the solid waste management system at its various stages, through partnership with the private sector.
It pointed out that the company adheres to the highest governance standards, overseen by a board of directors chaired by the head of the Amman Secretariat committee, in addition to several public sector members in their functional capacities, alongside various specialized, competent, and experienced individuals, ensuring transparency, institutional oversight, and proper strategic guidance.
It clarified that all its operations are conducted within clear legal and regulatory frameworks, that its partnerships are based on principles of transparency and competitiveness, aimed at advancing the public interest, and that its performance is subject to ongoing monitoring and evaluation according to established performance indicators.
