Dangerous Link Between Pesticides and Cancer

Khaberni -  A recent scientific study has revealed that continuous exposure to pesticides increases the risk of cancer.
The study was conducted by scientists from the University of Toulouse, the French Pasteur Institute, and scientists from the National Institute of Cancer Diseases in Peru, relying on data from 150,000 cancer patients in Peru, which they compared to maps indicating areas with high pesticide pollution in the country.

The results showed that the risk of cancer in areas with high levels of pesticide pollution was 150% higher compared to other areas. These results were made possible thanks to a new methodology adopted by the researchers, which takes into account the complex impact of pesticides in real environments, rather than focusing only on isolated chemical substances.
In addition, the study showed that pesticides can disrupt cellular processes, making tissues more susceptible to other risk factors such as inflammation or infection, and these changes occur before tumor development, indicating an early effect of pesticides on the body.

The researchers noted that they focused primarily on mixtures of pesticides, which may have a stronger impact on health compared to individual chemicals when used alone.
