Death of an Egyptian in Jordan after the murder of his children and the horrific suicide of his wife in Egypt

Khaberni - Ahmed Hamad, the lawyer for Ryan, who is accused of killing his mother and his five siblings in Alexandria, revealed in the incident known as the "Karmoz crime" that the father of the accused died of grief for his wife and children at his residence in Jordan.

It is worth mentioning that the father of the accused had divorced his wife, left his children, and traveled to work in Jordan, but his body was found weeks after the crime occurred in Egypt.

The competent authorities in Alexandria had completed the procedures for the accused of killing his mother and his five siblings in the case known to the media as the "Karmoz crime," where a large police force transferred him from his detention in Alexandria to the Abbasiya Hospital in Cairo, implementing the investigation authorities' decision to have him examined at the hospital to assess his mental state, with a report on his condition to be completed afterwards.

On Tuesday, the partial renewal judge in Alexandria decided to renew the detention of the accused of killing his mother and his five siblings in the Karmoz area for 15 days pending further investigations.

The details of the incident came to light when the security forces at Alexandria Security Directorate received a report from the Karmoz Police Station indicating that locals had found a young man attempting to end his life by jumping from the top of a building within the station's jurisdiction. The security forces immediately went to the location of the report, where they found a young man with cut wounds, restrained by locals after they observed his attempt to end his life.

The investigations clarified that the accused "Ryan. W. M.", a 21-year-old unemployed young man, tried to end his life after committing the crime, but the locals intervened, managed to save him, and called the police.

The investigating authorities retained three razor blades, a pillowcase, and these tools were used to match the blood and fingerprints on them, to match them with the statements of the accused son to uncover the cause of death of the mother and children after it was evident that some of the bodies had apparent relationships due to asphyxiation by strangulation, following the completion of the forensic report to determine the cause of death.

The investigations revealed the timeline of the last hours in the lives of the victims, where the family woke up on Monday to news from their mother about receiving a phone call about her divorce from their father and his marriage to another woman and his refusal to spend on them, which led her to despair, resulting in her taking the lives of her children as a relief from the hardships of life, so she brought white weapons consisting of three metal blades which were used in the attack on her children.
