University Hospital Clarifies on the Incident of a Resident Doctors Fall

Khaberni - The management of the Jordan University Hospital follows with great concern the health condition of one of the resident doctors, who was involved in an unfortunate fall incident within the hospital premises, and is currently stable and receiving necessary medical care.

The hospital management confirms that the head of the concerned department had observed about two weeks ago, changes in the health condition and disturbances of the concerned doctor, who is a graduate of a British university and had joined the residency program at Jordan University Hospital only a few months ago, and actions were taken immediately upon noticing symptoms that call for concern:

• Two weeks ago, the head of the department noticed that the doctor's health condition seemed unusual.

• In response to this, he immediately contacted the doctor's father to inform him of the observations.

• The doctor's father confirmed during the contact that his son has been actively consulting with doctors outside the hospital for a while and has been taking specific treatments before joining the program.

• Based on this information, the hospital made an immediate administrative and precautionary decision to grant him sick leave and temporarily suspend him from work.

• The doctor and his family were informed about the necessity of not returning to work until he presents an official and accredited medical report from his treating doctor confirming his ability to perform his duties.

• The doctor requested to return to his job on Tuesday, 2026/3/31, and his request was denied pending the provision of an official and accredited medical report.

Despite the decision to suspend and the preventive ban, the doctor arrived at the hospital campus early this Thursday morning without the management's knowledge.

According to surveillance cameras, the doctor threw himself from one of the hospital’s floors.

The management of the Jordan University Hospital confirms that its doors and official offices will always remain open to the media to answer their inquiries and provide them with reliable information, noting the need for accuracy and caution in disseminating information and obtaining it from its official, accredited sources, and adhering to the highest standards of objectivity and professionalism.

In conclusion, the family of the University Hospital wishes a speedy recovery for the colleague, the resident doctor in the specialty program, and expresses its full sympathy with him and his family in this ordeal, hoping that God grants him health and wellness to return soon to the ranks of his colleagues in this medical institution, safe and sound.
