Khaberni - American President Donald Trump has studied the withdrawal of the United States from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), according to what was reported by the British newspaper Daily Telegraph about Trump who considered the alliance has been slack in supporting military action against Iran.
The newspaper mentioned that Trump described the alliance as a "paper tiger," and quoted him saying that the issue of the United States' withdrawal from the defense pact "has moved beyond the review stage." He added that he has long harbored doubts about the credibility of NATO.
He said, "When asked whether he would reconsider the US membership in the alliance after the war, 'Yes, I say that it has moved beyond the review stage.'
He added, "I was never convinced by NATO. I always knew it was a paper tiger, and Russian President Vladimir Putin knows it too, by the way."
