Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate has warned of the expected unstable weather conditions this evening, which are likely to be accompanied by scattered rain showers, which may be heavy at times for short periods in limited parts of the west of the Kingdom, accompanied by thunder and hail, according to meteorological bulletins issued by the competent authorities.
The Directorate urges citizens to take the utmost caution and care, to stay away from watercourses, places prone to flash floods, and low-lying areas, especially in the Dead Sea area, emphasizing the importance of not risking crossing water bodies, whether on foot or by vehicle.
It also stressed the importance of driving cautiously on roads that may experience rain, and to be aware of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog forming over mountainous elevations, in addition to dust in desert areas.
The Directorate emphasized the importance of safe use of heating devices of all types, warning against fueling them while lit or leaving them unmonitored, and the necessity to extinguish them before sleeping, with an emphasis on providing adequate ventilation inside homes, and avoiding the use of wood stoves due to potential suffocation hazards.
The Directorate reaffirmed its readiness of its personnel and machinery to deal with various weather conditions and emergencies, calling on citizens to contact the unified emergency number (911) when needed.
