Khaberni - The Jordanian Artists' Syndicate confirmed the prohibition of any artistic activity or work in all its forms without obtaining prior official permission in accordance with approved procedures.
The syndicate stated in a circular that "based on the provisions of the law of the Jordanian Artists' Syndicate and its regulations and instructions issued in accordance therewith, and in order to organize the profession and protect the rights of those working in the artistic sector and to preserve the level of creative work in the Kingdom, the practice of any artistic activity or work in all its forms is strictly prohibited."
The syndicate added that the prohibition includes (singing, playing instruments, acting, directing, producing, DJ, sound operations, dubbing, broadcasting, or any other artistic activity or work), without obtaining prior official permission issued by the Jordanian Artists' Syndicate in accordance with approved procedures.
It explained that "any artistic work or activity practiced outside this framework is considered a clear violation of the law's provisions, meriting accountability, based on Article (45) of the law of the Jordanian Artists' Syndicate No. (9) for the year 1997."
The syndicate confirmed that it "will take all necessary legal actions against violators and event organizers without any leniency," explaining that this includes: properly documenting violations, referring violators to competent authorities, taking necessary legal and judicial actions in accordance with current legislation, and halting the event.
The syndicate called on "all entities, individuals, and contractors to fully comply with the contents of this circular, under penalty of legal responsibility."
It emphasized that this measure "comes in the context of organizing the profession and advancing it, in line with the noble royal directives, protecting the rights of its members and those working in the artistic sector according to their profession and specialization, and enhancing the stature of creativity."
