Channel Kan King Abdullah Refuses to Meet Netanyahu and Sets Tough Conditions

Khaberni -  Hebrew media sources revealed this Monday evening that His Majesty King Abdullah II rejected a request submitted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a bilateral meeting.

The Hebrew channel "Kan" reported that Netanyahu's office tried to arrange the meeting before the military confrontation with Iran began, but the Jordanian side set strict conditions for approving this move.

The sources clarified that King Abdullah II showed deep displeasure with Israeli policies, particularly regarding the closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers since the war began, and the escalation of settler attacks in the West Bank as well.

According to reports, the Jordanian Kingdom demanded official clarifications on several fundamental issues before proceeding with any political meeting, including guarantees against the displacement of Gaza Strip residents, halting land annexation procedures in the West Bank, and a commitment to the course of establishing a Palestinian state.

The Jordanian conditions also included the necessity to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and the signing of a new water agreement as well.

The sources indicated that the Israeli responses to these demands were neither sufficient nor convincing to the Jordanian side, leading to the decision to refuse the meeting and deny Netanyahu any political achievement that could portray him as a close ally in front of the American administration.
