Russia The End of the Most Dangerous Global Stolen Account Broker

Khaberni - The Russian security authorities announced the capture of the suspect in managing the famous "LeakBase" forum, a step that ends the activity of a platform that was considered a safe haven for trading hacked accounts globally.

Official media reports, citing the Russian Ministry of the Interior and the "Tass" agency, revealed that the detainee is a thirty-something resident of the city of Taganrog, believed to be the figure behind several digital aliases such as "Chucky" and "Sqlrip".

What exactly did the forum include?
The spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of the Interior, Irina Volk, stated that the platform hosted hundreds of millions of user accounts, banking details, usernames and passwords, along with corporate documents obtained through hacking, according to "Hacker News".

The forum had more than 147,000 users, and the number of messages exchanged among the members reached 215,000 messages up until December 2025, revealing the size of the network that was operating in the shadows.

Closure and Return.. And the Second Closure
LeakBase was dismantled in a joint security operation earlier this month, during which the U.S. Department of Justice confirmed that the forum was one of the largest centers for trading stolen data and cybercrime tools in the world.

Visitors to the site on the regular network found a seizure notice stating that all content of the forum, including user accounts and private messages and IP address logs, were now in the possession of the authorities for investigation purposes.

The site resumed its activity suddenly a few days after the first raid, where it was sheltered by a Russian hosting company that provides superior protection against digital disruption.

This attempt ended quickly when the special technical unit of the Russian Ministry of Interior intervened, taking full control of the new domain and declaring through an official message to its visitors that the story had completely ended by law.

On the other hand, digital investigation companies "KELA" and "TriTrace" undertook the task of uncovering the mysterious identity that managed the platform, linking the pseudonyms "Chucky", "Sqlrip", and "beakdaz" to a real person aged 33.

This individual resides in the Russian city of Taganrog, which made the suspicions about him turn into concrete reality when the details of the special investigations matched those of the raid carried out by the security authorities.
